They are good, but they tend to be overlooked between the more mod-friendly 6th and radical-looking 8th. You should be able to get some impressive numbers from your HX, with taller gearing than my EX and e-VTEC.
(Also, you're from Puyallup? I grew up in Sumner! And bought my Civic a couple years ago from Harnish, actually, when I was teaching at PLU).
