thats on ZED.. ? you are getting the new shift box and may or may not change the diff. currently the long legged diff is in it ?
do what takes the least work and try those long legs .
if i understand right the hill climb wants a downshift anyway
i see that machine has a vacuum gauge.
keep an eye on it as i said i try to keep a manifold pressure that will wind in all the dizzy vacuum advance , on my thing ..stock.. it starts at 3 and ends at 12 . INHG but i have a custom curve dizzy in there and do not know what it is.
i have the idea that the more advance that is wound in the better the FE should be

on a different subject . i think i will take a drive today , as you may or may not know i have a big Duct on my chin fin that feeds the induction. . i did a DIY manometer to measure the overpressure , gonna measure a series of test points , with and with out a prefilter.

the theoretical over pressures in clean air at 55 MPH is 1 inch water, at 78 Mph 2 inches water

my first try i saw 2 inches at 55 MPH. .. way above the expected value
i wonder if i should put a string up here about the readings .
and should it be in the general forum in its own string or here ?
