For those who are living next to a nuclear plant, there's a bit more reason for concern.
During checks, cracks have been found in the reactor vessel of Doel 3 near Antwerp.
On local radio, a spokesman for the controlling agency said they were worried most about the sheer number of cracks.
The damage likely dates back to the time they were produced, and is next to impossible to repair.
Tihange 3, with a similar pressure vessel built by the same company - Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij, now defunct - in the same time frame, has shut down for precautionary checks.
The tests came about as the result of finding indications of fissures in a French nuclear installation, way back in 2004 !
Worldwide, another 18 reactor vessels built by the same company are in use.
Two in the Netherlands, two in Spain, one in Sweden, two in Switzerland, 10 in the United States and one in Argentina.
