I don't see any need to be cruel... just because it's marketed with unrealistic optimism doesn't make it evil.

If I stuck some of these to my car and it didn't change anything whatsoever about my fuel consumption, but someone saw 'em and asked me what they're for, and I got them interested in the idea of taking a personal role in your own fuel consumption - any fuel THAT PERSON saves is still fuel that I caused to be saved.

I know it's indirect - and I'm not planning to buy any Gaspods - but my point here is that I don't believe they're a harmful product, nor are they even guilty of the same level of uselessness as shT like The Intake Tornado! or Gas Tank Magnets! ... not enough to warrant our cruelty. They belong in the unicorn corral until proven otherwise, that's been done, now I'm going to get back to taking needless recreational camping trips in a V8 powered, corn fueled jeep.
