Today we (by "we" I mean the whole family : me, the wife, our 4 months old baby girl and the parents in-laws) went to a national park not too far from Montreal (Mont-Tremblant). Total round trip was 345.2 km (from the gaz station a few km away from the house).
This includes 12-13km of city driving and 50km (roughly) inside the park itself (this includes 5km of gravel road inside that 50km).
So my average MPG was 43.5 (5.4l/100km) and the best instant MPG I got was on a concrete paved section : 47 MPG (5.0l/100km)
I was quite happy with the results, I only used light P&G without EOC, "driving with load" as much as possible and on the highway I tried to maintain a speed above 65km/h (40mph) but not faster than 90km/h (55mph) ... though driving slowly seems to make people angry! (on 2 different stretch of highway, 3 & 4 lanes, 2 different guys passed me and then cut me off, had to brake and swerve right to avoid collision!!!
