Finished boxing the rear cargo area.
Strengthened the "hatch" horizontally with Aluminum flatbar.
Secured it with Magnetic Cabinet latches.
The little metal pieces on the hatch (one on either side) don't fit flat against the magnetic catch so don't hold terribly well. Ill address this in future models.
She seems to have an easier time achieving/holding 45mph. Not sure if this is the result of boxing the tail, or more likely, from cleaning the carb. Haven't tried another Freeway/top speed run yet.
Want to address a wind buffeting issue first. Seems like wind is rushing around the narrow fairing and pushing me side to side. Not in a rush to close up the sides till I get the ride height down. This thing is tall and narrow. Unfortunately the wide cargo bay means lowering the ride height could cause lean angle issues. Beefing up the suspension will come first anyways.
Preloading the springs and thicker oil should help stiffen up the front end. Not sure what to do about the rear yet.
