Was this the mileage at a constant speed ?
My automatic '93 Civic used to get anywhere from 35 - 70 MPG at a constant 55 - 60 MPH.
Using a SuperMID showed that my mileage was
constantly changing despite driving at precisely the same speed even on a flat road.
It all averaged out to around 44-45 MPG on highway only trips driven at 55-60 mph.
I guess what I'm wondering is this : if I take a Saturn SC-1 and modify it exactly as you have
Arcosine, I then drive at 55 mph on a dead flat road in perfect weather .
With cruise control engaged and with the engine on and no coasting , what would my mileage be, and would it constantly fluctuate, or would I see a steady 64 MPG for several minutes versus one second of 64 MPG , followed by a drop to 52 then up to 54 etc .
