With just the gearing mods (15T/40T), and after taking off the rear tail, front windshield, and adding Harley Riverroad saddlebags to carry stuff I got 55mpg over 200 miles (50city/150hwy @ 65-75mph-5k-6k rpm). I couldn't use the long tail in the city for parking reasons. The front windshield needs more support against folding. Also the clipons make it go faster .

GreenJoe- When making the front end keep the front fender to protect the exposed forks. Better than replacing them . How is the gearing working? 17/38 stall on take off? What do you think of putting a electric hub motor into the front wheel?

After reading the thread on how a 10,000lb+ big-rig loaded can get 15mpg @55mph, anything less than triple digit mpg values for a motorcycle is a major failure.
