If they work, by bending the air around curves it'd otherwise detach from - thus reducing the wake.
I'm still hoping to hear how they differ from VGs ... well, not really.
They're too streamlined to do much IMO.
VGs don't need to be big to do something - saw that on my own car - but wether it's enough to help FE is something else again.
