Thanks a lot for your input guys, believe me I really appreciate it. I will bring the back down a little bit more. Based on the picture, maybe 1" or 1.5". It's not super easy to do, but it is do-able, and as I said from the beginning with the rounded corner discussion, I believe that if it's worth doing something, it's worth doing it to the best of my abilities.
For future reference, I need to add another support or two between my two long pieces of the aluminum frame, because as the kamm heats up (black paint in the sun), it is sagging down. The section thats sagging is right at the top in the middle, so it is just flat and there is no curvature, and so without a brace under it, it sags a noticeable amount. So for anyone looking to do this or something similar, any where the coroplast is just flat, you may run into this problem.
