If you know you have 80 miles of range and you're traveling 30 miles then it is a non-issue. Yes, the miles left display is known to be wildly inaccurate on the leaf. Its akin to watching the instant MPG meter on your car. It plummets to single digits while accelerating and when coasting down a hill you see 300+ mpg.
The real question is why do you need 300+ miles of range and a 5 minute refill times when you're traveling 30 miles?
