If your budget is less than $200 then your best bet would be a small gas 2 cycle engine. I have a 23cc bike engine kit I bought many years ago. It is based on a Canadian chain saw engine from the 1980's. It bolts to the rear seat stays and is friction drive. It weighs 11 lbs. and will push a bike at 25 mph on the flat. If you have an internal gear hub then I recommend making a mount to fit the front wheel. If you find a gas powered weed wacker at a yard sale for cheap try that. I would sell this unit for $100 USD since motorized bikes are outlawed in New York state. The irony is that the great Aqua Bug kit was made in here in NY.
