Future winter mods

I've really been thinking FAR ahead for winterizing my truck for my move to Minnesota..
I was thinking of buying a block heater for my trucks engine..

had a thought..

I was thinking of getting a battery isolator so I can run an aux battery,
this aux battery will be just for a block heater or other acessory so that in the winter when its parked at work and no access to a cord, bam, flip the switch and walk away..

This way it wont kill my primary starting battery..

heck, I could run 2 solar panels and embed them into the top side of my campershell (one cell for each battery)

I know the solars will be covered in snow, but just to have for future use..
that and I love a project

I've also started hunting for some 15" steel wheels because I figure there wont be any stock steelies for sale when I need them, so I better get em where people dont really use em for snow tires

I'm also about to pull my bed off my frame and get to cleaning and using a spray on bed liner on my frame and underbody to get as prepaired as I'm going to get for salted snow roads..

any thoughts?
