Usually the wheel travel are in the 150 mm range so you might miss those to the ground.
What is more leaning angle is better not altered, so this clearance might prove useful.

On a sliding panel point of view, I am definitely up for a front wheel bottom panel which will close the front wheel steering louvres gap at all times (if that make sense)

Streamlining already helps in this departement : a bike lower gears are ridiculously low as is because they need to be able to carry a heavy weight and taller front / smaller rear sprocket usually hit top speed rather than take offs.
