All I'd like to add is we just got our first tier 4 compliant engine at work today (off road equipment hasn't had to meet tier 4 until recently), a 9.3L CAT engine. All I can say is WOW, emissions equipment is all over the place and looks quite complex. The particulate filter is as big as the muffler, and the heater to keep it warm is just rediculous.
Edit: wow, just noticed that is only tier 4 interm, not even tier 4 final
