Its more the other way arround. The environmental (and other) regulations increased costs, we demand cheap products, many Asian contries dont have anywhere as high labor and regulation costs, so companies move manufacturing to where it costs less even with transporting the goods half way arround the world.

Once they start demanding better pay, better air, better everything the cost of producing in their countries will come up bringing manufacturing back here. Or we can spend the extra on made in USA.
