Hoerner was part of Operation Paper Clip,brought over to the U.S.A. at the conclusion of hostilities in Europe at the close of World War II.
Hoerner worked on Messerschmitt aircraft design for the Luftwaffe.
Comprehensive data are presented for aircraft/airships/bombs/torpedos/nacelles/pylons/struts-sections/fuselage/wingtips/wings/stabilizers/canopies/landing gear/fairings/blisters/seams/etc., and he has a section on Automobiles and Railroad trains.
Hoerner personaly did a full-body conversion and wind tunnel study of an aero-modded DKW roadster.
The book is a goldmine.
