This time I squeezed in as much I could for a final fill of 5.1 gallons.

This in my '86 Ford Tempo 2.0L Diesel 5 speed.

312 miles divided by 5.1 gallons = 61.18 MPG!

$3.499 a gallon x 5.1 gallons = $17.86 + $1.25 tax = $19.11 total for 312 miles

6 Months until my mortgage is payed off. Hoping sooner. Saving every $ possible to make this happen quick. It's obviously effected my driving habits in a positive way.

Congrats on the fuel economy AND "double" congrats on being within 6 months of paying off your mortgage! I paid off my mortgage 10 months early. That was about 10 years ago. It's a GREAT feeling.
