yes, I was looking at the '03 VW Golf. Fueleconomy.gov says the 1 model gets 44MPG highway (5-speed diesel) thats without mods or driving habits. I love the style of car as well, reminds me of the 93 hatch i used to have.
The 4 doors make it a winner for me though, so much more useful than just 2 doors.
I like the idea of installing custom usb ports in the dash and such, updates like that are nice, but it seems as though car manufactures are only now starting to advance car's computers to do more.
I noticed a car with self adjusting cruise control that slows to the car in front of you. I love cruise control but the D-bag in front of me doesn't realize that I don't want to put any effort into adjusting my C-Control.
There was another commercial online of a car with the stop-light engine cutoff feature.
