Before or after taxes?

That would change my percentage quite a bit!

I was reading somewhere that even buying economy cars new and trading every 4 years costs about $7k/year including everything, insurance, gas, depreciation, maintenance, registration, etc..
Kinda scary eh! We don't have new cars and therefore no car payments but just insurance and gas is about $5000 a year for two cars doing about 45000km/year combined. I guess its the cost of living in the country...
