"45 MPG from an Insight is an embarassment. My dad has pushed the lifetime average of his Insight up over 60 MPG and can get over 70 MPG on a long road trip. The article is supposed to be about "hypermilers" not idiots who buy a hybrid and drive it so badly they negate all the benefits of the technology."
I guess he neglects the fact that the Insight featured was a junker with no life left in it.
