My truck has all openings fully covered, except for the one under and behind the bottom of the license plate. You can't see that one, but it's the width of the license plate and maybe a little over an inch wide.
My truck cools just fine. Last summer the engine temperature rose about 7 degrees on an extended upgrade at 93 degrees outside temperature. The cooling fan clutch did not engage.

22 Maverick: Summer 2022 burned 62.74 gallons in 3145.1 miles for 50.1 MPG. Winter 2023-2024 - 2416.7 miles, 58.66 gallons for 41 MPG.
