Subaru even has it's own version of the car called the BRZ. The same car apart from some interior and the fascias. I do love these cars though, everyone seems to hate the rims but I don't mind them. I've been trying to talk my buddies into letting me drive one of them.

The key thing here is that this is a proper use of the boxer engine - low down, as far back as possible - the key RWD layout - and I prefer FWD. Unlike normal Subes where the unit is very forward and "constrained" by the 4wd system. The standard Boxer 4 as used by Subaru has no advantage really over a transverse 4cyl inline. I'm also not a fan of the "dum-dum" noise - glad the GT-86 doesn't have it.
