Hello from Lancaster

Hello, wanted to introduce myself. I've read parts of Ecomodder before but finally joined so I can see all the pix and maybe ask advice. I have been driving a 91 Honda Civic Wagon for 8 years now, and have been delighted to get 40mpg with just conscientious driving and hypermiling. It's a 5 speed manual of course, with no power anything. I do coasting when I can, and let off when going uphill or coming to known stoplight/signs. I don't do engine shutoff- I tried it one time and wouldn't you know it, my car would not start back up at the stoplight then! These old cars, you gotta treat them nicely.
I've been thinking for a long time about at least building a flat bottom for this and some side skirts on the rear wheels.
But I'm also a little conflicted- I love racing (watching ALMS/LeMans and Indy) and I also do autocrossing. My other car is a 2001 Trans Am. So, I feel like I want the car (the Honda) to at least look nice as well as be efficient. More power would be nice, maybe just a little bit more torque, so I am hoping I can do the Honda MultiPoint conversion- a friend said it makes more power and better mileage!?
Thanks for all your submissions, be talkin to you!

Chris
