A123 cells power density is unmatched unless you go to a LiPo cell as far as I know. This makes them great for motorcycle applications.
From what I've been told by others using these cells, cooling really isn't needed. They just don't heat up all that much. Packaging is the big concern. BMS is well... personal choice.
