I have no doubt that the Bravada could be made to get reasonably good fuel efficency and a Diesel would definitely be a huge improvement. But honestly the rest of the truck is just tired and to me it is just not worth it to sink that much money into it. I can't even imagine how much it would cost try and pull this off, but if I had to guess it would definitely be in the thousands of dollars and probably be close to half as much as I am planning on spending on a new car anyway. Not to mention it would probably take over a decade to recover the cost of a conversion like this in fuel savings.

Which to be honest I'm already tired of the Bravada and the bottom line is that it just doesn't suit my needs very well. All I really need is something that can hold 4 people and gets good mileage. As opposed to this compact AWD SUV with 3/4 of a small block V8 and less interior space than most sedans. When I need to haul stuff I have my truck, and when I need to haul people and stuff I have my wife's minivan. The Bravada just doesn't make sense for us.
