This probably as good a place to post as any.
I've posted links to Local Motors in various threads here and there. Did you notice that they partner with corporations like Freightliner and Dominoes Pizza? They had a competition to design a door handle for the Edison VLC, which is the subject of several threads here. Seimens put up $6000 for the winning design.
From memory—they had 24 entries (not bad odds). I can't confirm that; they've redesigned the website. I find it very hard to navigate.
