Well I put together a simple power supply using a 78LM05 & a couple of caps, & wired up one of the flow sensors to it using a 10k pull up on the output line & a .1 micro cap on the supply by the sensor. Then I found out my frequency counters not working, and my main scope a Tek 7504 wouldn't trigger. So it was time to break out the back up a Tek 545 )I bought to keep it from being stripped of it tubes & throw in the trash), I get a good solid pulse each time the magnet passes the sensor, but no way to count the pulses at this time. And the weather in Salem ,OR. has been on the wet side. I can create a Simple schematic if any one wants it, I'll have to email it to someone who has picture posting rights & have them post it.
