They are using a obd1 p28 or a exu converted to be a p28 then it is chipped to run a base map similar to the p07 but with 02 and probably egr delete. The lean burn is reverse vtec. You would need a lean burn motor. Any Honda from 92-00 can be run off of a chipped ecu and tuned for what ever you need. If you had a cx or dx (no vtec) then you could chip a p06 it doesnt have vetc controls. They can be added if nessissary. you could chip and tune your ecu to run leaner just not quite as lean as the vx hx. The ideal setup is hondata s300 on the fly tuning with real time monitoring and tuning. Truely custom but $$$. Pm me.
