Here's what I will be referring to:

Barry's Tire Tech

According to the Smithers data, a 175/70R13 is ever so slightly better than the skinnier 155/80R13 - 1/4%. That doesn't appear to be enough to worry about - particularly considering that there can be a 60% difference between tires of the same size.
