Those "bay windows" are air scoops for the cooling system, I think?
This points to the big advantages that electric drivetrain have; both in much lower cooling requirements and greater ease of locating the motor(s) due to them being compact and simpler mechanically. The back of the roofline could taper down closer to the correct angle *if* the radiators were shorter.
The above picture also points to a common aerodynamic issue: the chassis essentially "ignores" the wheels in the aerodynamic design.
