So I'm in CA and I'm looking to buy a car that's been registered out of state. The last time it was registered was the beginning of 2010. I did a VIN check.

I want to know how much it will cost to transfer the title and register it in CA. How do I calculate the fees? I don't want to be hit with $700 like my friend did. Is there a website where I can calculate the exact fees?
