I like the original Austin Mini, its design is still among the smartests. Lightweight, with a nearly maintenance-free suspension.
About the current ones: an all-electric version of the Mini Clubman could be a good opponent to the Nissan LEAF, retaining some cargo room which is still a decisive factor for many owners.
