Yes, I did travel to Detroit just for CCS. It was closer than Art Center in Pasadena. I walked by that EV1 every day for four years. It did seem sad- as if no one really wanted it there so they just stuck it in a corner with no description or anything. There are some posters by it now but most students regard it as "ugly". They don't get it. Some aren't into the whole intellectual design thing- they just want it flashy. The EV1 takes some percolation to appreciate.
The car's new home is in the Argonaut building (I refuse to call it their new name, the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education).
