Holy cow, $28,800! That is one heck of a price drop. The 2012 model started at $35,200. That is currently cheaper than the i-MIEV!

Just for clairification, that is before tax incentives too! But, you do have to tack on a $850 destination fee.

Big kudos to Nissan.

Sadly, there is no smaller battery available. Its a new battery that is 'better' and I'm sure cheaper for them. Also, with the changes made for the 2013 model year, the Leaf is expected to gain EPA estimated range.
