Heat resistant tape yea or nay?

i been thinking using this product for a while... on my air box, air intake hose, and intake manifold...rated to handle 850°F constant...i have done this mod using thermal wrap, aluminum foil or foam pipe insulation previous times but i havent done it so much on the 03..the only thing wrap is my exhaust manifold and intake hose....since i been using the scanguageII i've notice about 20 degrees +/-difference in city driving and a 10+/- in highway...like today it was 34 degrees this morning & i was getting 55 (city)...im hoping by using this product i can further lower the intake temps by reducing the radiant heat on the plastics...i have measured the intake manifold temps previous times on the runners nearest to the head and will read around 110-120 ..i have some 1/4 phenolic material will make a spacer for it when i a get the chance...

wanted know what's your take on this...
