Adding weight and increased load on the wheels isn't a good thing. Especially as it isn't necessarily to increase your fuel economy so much as reduce your energy use at your home.

Save your money and skip the wheel covers. Just use a solar panel to charge those batteries. The only "free" energy is the sun. Free as in at no cost to you....after initial investment of course.
