Arrow The New Guy w/ a 09' 5.4 V8 Fx4 SCrew F150

Hello,

I stumbled upon this website, after searching for "ways to increase fuel consumption".

The reason why I'm here is this. I noticed that my avg mpg has decreased by 1mpg from 15.1-14.1 according to my display, and to me this is troublesome. My only thought were the new tires that I have placed on my vehicle the Michelin LTX/S2's. After seeing an initial increase of 5% (15.6mpg) it has now dropped to an all time low of 14.1 mpg.

Over the course of the lifetime of this vehicle I have avg 15 mpg over the 70000 miles that have been put on it, only once that I can recall has it ever been over 16mpg mark. The most that I have squeezed out of a tank of petrol was just over 600 miles. tank size is 36 gallons

Yes I do live in a northern state (MN) so I'm aware of the fuel additives in the winter and tire pressures, but I've never run into this type of mileage decrease before, having since living prior up in Alaska with this vehicle and now MN.

I hope that there are some full size pickup truck guys around this site that can provide feedback, and can address this situation, and/or point me in the direction of functional vehicle mods, while still retaining the ability of what a truck does.
