Personally, I'd pay that to rag that Porsche any day!
If it was a gentleman's "You break it, you pay" or " You bend it, you mend it" agreement, then the writer should have paid up immediatley.
If I were in the situation I'd like to think I'd have at least tried my damndest to reach a compromise re paying for the repair WHEN it happened
