In England and Europe the Smart gets very good mileage - 50-70MPG I think? The diesel in Canada gets 70MPG.

This segment has a "cringe" factor and it would make many people come away relieved to be drive a larger car. Remember, this is Top Gear that built an absolute shytebox "electric car" tin can abomination, and who faked a depleted battery on the Tesla Roadster. Their actual Peel P50 bit many years ago was truly funny as hell, but more recently, their propaganda is showing through.

They are funded by an oil company, after all. Ya' can't bite the hand that feeds you, right?
