This has been coming for a long time. I read some of the comments after the article and many were quite adamant about black boxes somehow being a violation of their rights. Hmmmm, I have a commercial drivers license and am required by federal law to submit to random drug tests and medical certification as a condition of holding my CDL. The fourth amendment gives us the right against unreasonable search and seizure without probable cause. This "violation" of rights has been upheld in the high courts because the justices concluded that driving is a privilege - not a right, and a random drug testing and medical certification is a condition of enjoying privilege.
Not saying I'm for or against, just saying.
