From the little I have read the new mandate will standardize the "black box". As it is now with many vehicles only the manufacturer can pull up the information. If the gooberment gets their way anyone (mainly police) can pull up your "black box" information. If that is the case I only hope that the black box information is only able to be acquired with due process... i.e. a warrant.
