I'm sad that I didn't get to finish the project. But making this dream of living by the beach, next to the redwoods is about to become a reality (ZERO DEBT!). I had 9 cars when I had that Caprice. 9! It was going to need at least another $1000 + lots of hours cranking wrenches. Can this project be done? Absolutely. Plenty of engine space to fit a diesel. Think this thread has outlined most of the hurdles anyone would run into. First, the stock engine frame mounts / motor mounts may need moved. The power steering bracket on this 6.2 hit the ABS brake lines. I was going to ol' school it and do away with the ABS, reroute the brake lines. Electric fans would be needed. Possibly beefier front springs. It's not to hard a project. Just decided to cash out on my cars. Fewer cars, fewer repairs, fewer expenses.
