Hello, first time visiting the forum, did quite a bit of reading, lots of helpful folks here. It is awesome to see that so many people care about the efficient driving.
I have been experienmenting the burst and coast technique. I have a 2009 I4 accord, a fairly heavy car and has terriable mileage, 18.6 in the city with grandpa style driving.
One thing I notice that is quite different from my old Civic, is that this car does't seems to roll very far at times. When I accelerate to 60-65 kmh and let of the gas, the car feels like hit a rubber band, and slows down to 40 in 10 seconds. So I end up doing quite a bit of "Bursting".
I have checked online in accord forums and 18.6 MPG is a very low number for any accord, even the V6 are pulling better numbers. Althought I am 100% city driving, I do drive very carefully but it just seem there is a hole in my fuel tank.
Any ideas why a car would not coast far?
