this is easy to test folks. all you need is an mpguino and an electro magnet.
instead of putting a magnet on the fuel line put an ELECTROMAGNET on the fuel line.
then while monitoring the real time output from the mpguino turn the magnet on and off and see what happens. conclusive and irrefutable.
I hightly doubt it will do anything.
hondo. you got 35mpg not because you installed a magnet but because you WENT ON VACATION this means lots of constant ZERO start and stop steady state highway driving. ALL cars get boost in fuel economy when you do this. that is normal.
