Just 50lbs. sounds quite light from what I've found in other vehicles. Well, that also takes in account the heavier weight of a higher-capacity battery and the stronger alternator required in a vehicle fitted with A/C. But no, I don't know how much would cost to get the gas recovered. Back here in the 3rd world this procedure is actually pretty much neglected, the folks dismantle vehicles without too much care for that
