Well it's been a little while since I updated. I finally got a chance to start taking her apart. I got the trans and gas tank out. When I started lowering the trans water came out of the tails haft housing :/ it might be rusted up internally so I might be going back to the 258/5 speed combo idea which wouldn't upset me at all since I wana drive it a lot. Once I start tearing into the trans I'll know for sure. The original 3 speed is tough to find parts for and tough to find a replacement for
