If possible (I know it always isn't, on the MD portion of I-95, you HAVE to go 70 to keep up with traffic with the 65 limit), try to keep it 60-65 on the freeway, unless that would put you under the limit or unsafe for the flow. You should see an increase in fuel economy.
By avoiding I-95 and taking local roads to the DC beltway (only need to go 60-65 to keep up with traffic, 55 limit), I've seen an increase in my fuel economy for my car and motorcycle over the last 2.5 months when I changed my most frequently traveled round trip route.
