People really like to pick on studded snow tires.
I had my first chance to drive a car in the snow without snow tires this winter. I didn't realize just how much I was gaining by driving my car on snow tires for all of these years! In our typical lake affect snow, I was amazed at how poorly the car did with brand new Cooper touring tires!
Something so light with tires that aren't designed for snow could be dangerous in the snow.
