I wanted to check in and let you know my experience with my C-Max since purchasing it in November......
At this point, I have averaged 44mpg for the 17,000+ miles of ownership. This is quite a feat considering it has been through the winter with 300 pounds of equipment that I have logged these numbers.
My impression of the car? ------ AWESOME!!!!!
Now, I know people tend to be partial to any new car they buy. So, I understand that may be playing a part in my enthusiasm for this car. However, I have owned many cars and this is the best car I have ever owned, period (and that includes comparing it to our Toyota Highlander). This is not just the FE that I am talking about. This car is the most comfortable I have ever owned and ------ Wait for it ------ the FASTEST car I have ever owned (I have obviously never owned any quick sportscars
).
I have yet to have anyone get around me at a light. I even had a BMW X5 try hard to pass me before a merge and they lost.
Anyway, it is not a Corvette, but it is not a Chevette either. This is a quick, comfortable, FE car.
The only downside is the freaking BUGGY Sync system. That thing freaks out multiple times per day. They are tiny bugs, but it is frustrating on a $30K car.
At any rate, I plan on doing the usual aero mods this spring.
Oh, my MPG averages 52+ as long as the weather is over 55 degrees.
